A young deer lies on a green lawn, ears raised, looking forward, with parked cars blurred behind.
Blurred roadside greenery and tall trees seen from a moving car, forested hills in the distance
Seven thirty in the morning, and the road is already climbing. Out of the window, roadside trees blur past in streaks of green, a concrete barrier sliding along the bottom edge. Far off, forested hills fade into a damp grey sky. The air must smell of wet leaves. The day has only just started broadcasting.
A still brown stream through thick forest, a thin rope bridge crossing above itA dark spider in the centre of its web, blurred tree trunk and leaves behind itClusters of pink frilly blossoms on a flowering tree, green leaves and sky behindTwo deer walk along a grassy riverbank, a larger grey-brown one leading a smaller tan one.The swimming deer further out on the river, its wake widening behind it toward the near bank.Layered forested mountain ridges fading into haze beneath a pale, cloudy sky.
A wide view of dim, hazy mountain ridges and a forested valley in late afternoon.
Twenty to five, and the colour is draining fast. The ridges are still there, layered and soft, but the green has turned dull and the sky has gone the shade of old paper. Down in the valley a faint pale patch hints at a settlement. Soon the hills will be just outlines, and then just dark, and then the signal ends.
